Dreams of Trees Children's Book

The only copy of a book I wrote, designed, illustrated, and bound about a man named Thomas, his house, and his dreams.

The cover illustrates the passage of time as well as the dual subjects of the book: nature and industrialization. It features a quilt I created by cutting leaves into rectangles and stapling together. I then scanned it twice: once right after I made it and another time several hours later.

Thomas was created using scanned textures from a sock and t-shirt of mine. The illustrations of Thomas’ house and its progression through time were created by manipulating photographs and scanned images of materials, objects, and textures found in nature and industrial environments. Trees were illustrated using scanned images of leaves, bark, twigs, and other tree-related objects that were manipulated using Photoshop.

I am currently working on finding a publisher.
